It can do, but we usually don’t recommend it, simply because over 97% of alarm activations are false-alarms, which if it triggers the external alarm every time – especially while you are out or in-bed, then this quickly makes you unpopular in the neighbourhood and results in the system being turned-off.

A system that is turned-off doesn’t work well at all if there is a genuine break-in, so we recommend an active monitored system where a professional will respond quickly to a genuine issue, at which point you can sound an alarm if you want to.
